Our Mission: The Orem Victim Assistance Program’s mission is to ensure that victims are respected, protected and heard, through knowledgeable advocates who provide comfort and assistance to those who are victims of crime.
The Orem Police Department’s Victim Assistance Program has been in existence since 1997. The unit consists of three full-time victim advocates. Their positions are partially grant-funded by the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA). The purpose of the program is to help those who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, harassment, child abuse, suicide and homicide.
