About the Program

Since 1997, the Orem Police Department has been committed to supporting victims of crime. Our team of three full-time advocates provides specialized, trauma-informed care to help victims navigate the aftermath of various crimes.

Services

  • Assistance navigating the criminal justice system
  • Liaison between prosecuting attorneys and victims
  • Notification of criminal justice events and court accompaniment
  • Assistance creating a safety plan and providing crisis interventions 
  • Accompaniment with law enforcement interviews 
  • Assistance obtaining criminal and civil protective orders 
  • Assistance with reparations for medical expenses and loss of wages
  • Information on short-term counseling services and support groups
  • Connection to housing referrals and resources
  • Information on additional resources and social services
  • Support for victims and their families
