What is the Purpose of a Knox Box?

A Knox Box is a small, wall-mounted safe that securely holds the keys needed for fire departments, emergency medical services, and sometimes police to quickly enter a building without having to force entry. A quicker response during a fire incident can decrease the damage to your building, resulting in less down time for your business.

Residential Knox boxes are a great option for homes where the occupant is mobility challenged and has a frequent need for medical responses. 

Rest assured, your keys will be safe. The fire department will be the only agency that can access them, and they will only be used during an emergency response.

For Business or Resident

Please visit the Knox website to purchase a Knox box for your business or home. 

Follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Click on the BUY button

Step 2: Enter “Utah” in “Your Location”

Step 3: For Orem locations, choose “Orem Fire Department.” For Lindon, choose “Lindon Fire Department.” For Vineyard, choose “Vineyard, Town of.”

Step 4: You can choose either the commercial Knox Box or the Knox Residential Box.

Step 5: Pick your options.

Commercial: Click a color that works best for your building. Click the mount type that works best with your everyplace wall coverings. (Surface mount is the standard option) Tamper switches are not required unless you would like to integrate them into your security alarm system.

Residential: Click “No” for Door Hanger. Tamper switches are not required unless you would like to integrate it into your security alarm system. Choose whichever color works best for your building.
