Sprinklers

New construction

  • 3rd party code compliance review is required for all projects 20 or more heads
  • All plans should be submitted to [email protected] and should include the email that you want the approved plans returned to.

Required Inspections:

  • Riser Flush (Bacteria test does not fulfill this requirement)
  • Above Grid/Rough
  • Hydrostatic pressure test
  • Sprinkler final (In conjunction with the alarm final.  ***Both contractors should be present)
  • Flow sensors
  • Tampers

Tenant Improvement(TI)

  • In a building with an existing fire suppression system, any modifications to the existing floor plan require updated coverage plans, submitted prior to work beginning.
  • 3rd party code compliance review is required for all projects 20 or more heads
  • All plans should be submitted to [email protected] and should include the email that you want the approved plans returned to.
  • Required Inspections:
  • Above grid/rough
  • Sprinkler Final
  • ***Other inspections may be required depending on the scope.

New construction

  • All plans should be submitted to [email protected] and should include the email that you want the approved plans returned to.

Required inspections:

  • Alarm final
  • 24-hour battery test
  • Notifier activation
  • Flow switch test
  • Tamper test
  • Smoke detector test
  • Address verification
  • Signal transmission test

  • An automatic in-line shut-off solenoid is required.

  • Required for all buildings in excess of……………..
  • The International Fire Code (IFC) has a standard requirement for buildings over 12,000 sq ft to have approved radio coverage for emergency responders.
  • If during the radio coverage inspection we find that a system is needed, plans must be submitted to [email protected] for AHJ approval.
