Get to know and find contact information for your Mental Health Response Team.

Kamryn Wilson Community Response Coordinator

The Mental Health Response Team (MHRT) was established in 2018, due to the increasing demand and daily interaction Orem Police Officers were having with those in our community who were experiencing mental illness.

This unit is assigned to work with individuals or family members who have, or are suffering from mental illnesses. Most of the team’s day to day operations consist of making contact with citizens who have had mental health interactions with the Orem Police Department. These interactions typically consist of suicide ideations or suicide attempts, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, drug-induced psychosis, dementia, and any other diagnosed or undiagnosed mental illness conditions.

To contact the Orem Police Department, call 801-229-7070. If it is an emergency, please call 911.
