RECEIPT OF BIDS: Separate sealed BIDS or Electronic Submittal using Bonfire for the construction of 2026 1700 S Utility Project will be received by Taggart Bowen, City Engineer at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, 56 North State, Orem, UT 84057, or opened electronically on Bonfire until March 5, 2026 at 3:00 PM. and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The preferred method for submitting a bid is by using Bonfire at utah.bonfirehub.com (Select the search bar > > enter “City of Orem” > Enter).

BIDDING QUESTIONS – Use Bonfire to submit questions and download documents relating to bid items, specifications, and other technical questions. The project engineer is Erica Zaugg,801-229-7549. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on February 24, 2026 at 3:00 at the City Center, 56 North State Street, Orem, UT 84057 in the Community Development Ponderosa Conference Room.

OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained February 12, 2026 on Bonfire or at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, Community Development Offices, 56 North State Street, Orem, UT 84057. There is no fee from the City to obtain the documents on Bonfire. There will be a $20.00 non-refundable fee for a copy of the plans and specifications. (An additional $5.00 service charge will be assessed if the plans and specifications are to be mailed).

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Reconstruction of 1700 S between State Street and 800 E. Utility work along 1700 S, 800 E, 750 E between State Street and University Parkway including: storm drain pipe and structures installation, water line pipe and structures replacement, sewer line pipe and structures replacement, concrete flatwork, sidewalk, drive approaches, and other improvements. Sewer line and structures removal and replacement on 400 N between 1000 E and 1200 E. The engineer’s estimate for the work is $3,000,000.00 – $3,500,000.00

SITE OF WORK: The site of the WORK is located at 1700 S, 750 E, and 800 E between State Street and University Parkway, 400 N between 1000 E and 1200 E.
