The City of Orem is accepting sealed proposals from qualified and licensed Contractors for the construction of a new post-tensioned tennis court (59’x121’) and two sets of new post-tensioned pickleball courts (62’x 66’) at Northridge Park located at 1750 N 165 E, Orem, UT, 84057 and a new post-tensioned multi-sport court (70’x100’) at Windsor Park located at 1356 N 200 W, Orem, UT, 84057. The project will consist of demolition, clearing and grubbing, earthwork and grading, landscape and sprinkler restoration, earthwork and grading, concrete flatwork, installation of post-tensioned concrete courts, court surfacing and striping, tennis and pickleball net posts, nets and appurtenances, basketball hoops and appurtenances, black powder coated chain link fencing, etc.
Proposal documents will be available online October 30, 2024 at bidnetdirect.com (Select the search bar > enter “Orem” > search). Sealed proposals will then be accepted online at Bidnet Direct or by the Office of Purchasing, 56 North State Street, Orem, Utah 84057 until 2pm Thursday, November 21, 2024. Proposals submitted after this deadline will be rejected. Upon review, the business or individual best meeting the needs of the City will be contacted for further action.
There will be a mandatory pre-proposal site-visit meeting on Thursday November 7, 2024 at 2:00pm at Northridge and Windsor Park. We will meet at Northridge Park located at 1750 N. 165 E in the north parking lot. After reviewing Northridge Park, we will meet at Windsor Park located at 1356 N 200 W. in the West parking lot next to 200 W. The City of Orem reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals or any part of any proposal if it is deemed to be in the best interests of the City. The contractor awarded the bid will be required to provide payment and performance bonds for the full amount of the contract price.
It is anticipated that construction will begin after all contract documents are signed and returned to the City. The construction completion date is May 15, 2025. Prior to bidding the project contractor will be required to visit the proposed project site and become familiar with the existing conditions, restrictions, inspect site conditions, preparatory work, equipment required, facilities, required testing, inspecting etc. associated with this work. The purpose of the site visit is to gather data or additional information through inspections or examinations necessary to perform the work according to the specifications in this RFP.
