2025 Phase IV Street Lighting Project Bid Advertisement

RECEIPT OF BIDS: Separate sealed BIDS or Electronic Submittal using BidnetDirect for the construction of Phase III Street Lighting Project will be received by Taggart Bowen, City Engineer at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, 56 North State, Orem, UT 84057, or opened electronically on BidnetDirect until November 13, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The preferred method for submitting a bid is by using BidnetDirect at bidnetdirect.com (select the search bar >> enter “city of Orem” > Enter).

BIDDING QUESTIONS – Use BidnetDirect to submit questions and download documents relating to bid items, specifications, and other technical questions. The project manager is Tacoma Parkinson (801) 229-7314. The Project Engineer is Tom Nisson (801)229-7331. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be located at 56 North State Street, Orem UT, 84057, in the Development Services main conference room on October 30, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.

OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained      October 23, 2024, on BidnetDirect or at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, Development Services Offices, 56 North State Street, Orem, UT 84057.  There is no fee from the City to obtain the documents on BidnetDirect. There will be a $20 non-refundable fee for a copy of the specifications. (An additional $5.00 service charge will be assessed if the specifications are to be mailed).

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The WORK will consist of removing 39 existing street lights, connecting to 47 power poles with risers. WORK also includes installation of 67 new junction boxes, approximately 5705 feet of 1 inch conduit, and 62 new City standard light poles and fixtures.

SITE OF WORK:  The site of the WORK is located generally from University Parkway and State Street to 1700 South and 800 East UT.
